Enrico Maria Valentini
ABOUT
Enrico Maria Valentini started his academic journey in the city of Caserta, in Italy, where he was born raised, and in which he attended high school until 2019.
Enrico pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino from 2019 to 2022. The curriculum focused on foundational physics and electronics, with a particular emphasis on semiconductor electronic devices.
From 2022 to 2024, he earned a Master of Science in Nanotechnologies for ICTs and Quantum Devices through a joint program offered by Politecnico di Torino and Université Paris Cité. Enrico’s first year in Turin deepened his understanding of nanoelectronics and solid-state physics, while introducing him to nanofabrication techniques.
The second year of the program, based at Université Paris Cité, focused on quantum devices. This advanced coursework covered quantum mechanics, quantum optics, and their applications in device development.
A pivotal experience during his master’s program was a research internship at the Centre de Nanoscience et Nanotechnologies (C2N) in Paris. Working in the field of quantum optics solidified his interest in pursuing a PhD in this area.
