Sravan Sangeeth Surendran, hailing from Kerala, India, had a deep passion for science from an early age, which led him to dedicate his academic journey entirely to chemistry. His pursuit of knowledge began in Kerala, where he completed his primary education. With a growing interest in the field, he pursued an honours degree in chemistry at Hindu College, University of Delhi.
His academic journey took a significant leap forward when he successfully passed the JAM exam, securing admission to the prestigious National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli. At NIT, he excelled in his studies, earning a master’s degree in chemistry. During this time, he embarked on a six-month research project in the field of inorganic drug chemistry. His research, titled “Studying Anticancer Potential of N-Substituted Thiosemicarbazones and Their Zn, Ni Complexes: In Silico and In Vitro Biological Studies,” showcased his dedication to addressing critical challenges in the field of medicinal chemistry, specifically focusing on cancer treatment.
Beyond his research, Sravan displayed exceptional leadership qualities. In 2023, he served as the coordinator of HORIZON, the National Conference on Chemistry at NIT Tiruchirappalli, where he played a crucial role in bringing together experts, researchers, and students to discuss advancements in the field.

His research interests include Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry.
