Junxian Zhang

Junxian Zhang is a Research Engineer at the Institute of Chemistry and Material Paris Est (ICMPE), UMR7182 CNRS-UPEC. Leading the “Interaction Hydrogen Matter” research group, Junxian focuses on the structural and physicochemical properties of intermetallic compounds and their hydrides, as well as hydrogenation properties of complex hydrides and electrochemical properties pertinent to battery electrodes.

Junxian holds an M.S. in Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Stuttgart University, and the Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) from the University of Paris Est. Over the years, Junxian has managed various projects, including the ANR project H-Bat and the European project “Remerdys”, and has co-supervised several post-doctorates and doctoral theses.

With over 80 publications and contributions to international conferences, Junxian continues to actively engage in materials science research.
