Prof. Davy-Louis Versace
About
Davy-Louis Versace is Professor from Paris East Créteil University (UPEC, Creteil, France). He received a chemical engineer diploma from the National School of Chemistry of Mulhouse (ENSCMu) in 2005. Then, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Haute-Alsace (France) in 2008, researching on the synthesis of new materials by photoinduced sol-gel process. In 2010, he joined UPEC as an associate professor to develop new bio-based materials by photochemistry technique. He earned the Habilitation qualification (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from UPEC in 2017. Specifically, I am now focusing on developing new photoinduced bio-based materials for a variety of applications including biomaterials, antibacterial coatings and micro-structures, dental restorations and nanotechnology. My research also focuses on the synthesis of new bio-based photoinitiators/photosensitizers for photopolymerization reactions and 3D printing technology. These interests are investigated by using free-radical, cationic, thiol-ene polymerization reactions, bio-based monomer and polymer synthesis, and experimental characterization.
