About
Ardianto is a Ph.D student at IMT Atlantique and Flinders University, hailing from Indonesia. Previously, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Yogyakarta Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2007 and a master’s degree in Informatics Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2015.
Before joining the AUFRANDE Doctoral program, Ardianto had several experiences in the field of Informatics Engineering and software development. Besides being an active computer lecturer in Politeknik Caltex Riau Indonesia, he was also involved in various innovative product development projects with several local governments in Indonesia as well as industries in the area. One notable project was the PCATS (Pekanbaru Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) projects, which aimed to develop various products related to traffic management in Pekanbaru City and its surroundings. This initiative was launched by the Pekanbaru City Government Transportation Department through collaboration with universities and industries such as CV AGS, PT ZEF, and PT GIH. Ardianto also actively engaged in several community organizations, including Bebras Indonesia, APTIKOM, KAGAMA, INDOCEISS, and Jari Inovasi Indonesia. Additionally, he served as one of the Indonesian National Reviewers for the Matching Fund funding program under the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
Ardianto’s research area is in Machine Learning and Data Management. In the AUFRANDE program, his research focuses on Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning, as a subset of Machine Learning. He will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research by exploring distributed implementations of QCBRL (Quantum Cooperative Behavioral Reinforcement Learning) and Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) in the domain of autonomous maritime vessels executing search and rescue tasks.

His research interests include Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Data Management.
During his free time, Ardianto enjoys football, futsal, travelling, hiking, adventuring and photography.
