About

Boyuan Yu, born in Harbin, China, earned his bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Fuzhou University in 2020.He further advanced his education by obtaining a master’s degree in Materials and Chemical Engineering from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in 2022.

Following his studies, he served as a research assistant at SUSTech from 2022 to 2024, where he continued his research on topics explored during his master’s program. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Feng Yang, Boyuan Yu conducted significant research on single-walled carbon nanotubes confined molecular clusters, focusing on the assembly mechanisms of hybrid materials and their catalytic applications. Based on these insights, he aims to further his research in supramolecular chemistry, the synthesis of low-dimensional hybridized materials, and the exploration of their functional properties.

Interests

Boyuan Yu’s research interests include 2D materials, Supramolecular Chemistry, and Electrocatalysis.

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, skiing and e-sports.
