Krupamaya Panda

EC Lyon and USYD

About

Krupamaya obtained his B.Sc. degree with the specialization in Physics from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (Surat, India), in 2021. Afterwards, to explore the field of Photonics, he joined the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Moscow, Russia), and obtained the master’s degree in Photonics and Quantum Materials. This year, he will be joining both École Centrale de Lyon and University of Sydney, under the joint PhD programme, to pursue his doctoral degree on Advanced Soliton Physics in Integrated Photonic Circuits.

Prior to AUFRANDE, his masters’ research involved microfluidic-photonic sensors that exploits colloidal coatings, microfluidics, and nano-photonic elements for gas sensing. Apart from photonics, in the past he had also obtained experience with Electronics, and PCB designing, during his Bachelors’.

Interests

His research interests are Integrated Optics, Non-linear optics and Pure-Quartic Solitons.

Krupamaya enjoys table tennis, social and ballroom dancing and woodworking.
