Dr. Tessa Vance
About
Dr Tessa Vance works in the field of Palaeoclimatology, reconstructing past climate from Antarctic ice core records. Tessa’s research aligns to the University’s research themes of Marine, Antarctic and Maritime and Environment, Resources and Sustainability. Her research interests include past climate variability in the Antarctic, South West Pacific and Indian Oceans, and how changes in these regions affect hydroclimatic variability in Southern Hemisphere continents, especially Australia. Her research produces long records of climate that help to define the risk of climate extremes including droughts and floods stemming from decadal changes in the oceans surrounding Australia. https://www.utas.edu.au/profiles/staff/imas/tessa-vance
