Pascale Aussillous

Pascale Aussillous is a professor at the IUSTI laboratory in Marseille, a joint research laboratory of Aix-Marseille University and the CNRS (UMR7343) in France. She holds a PhD in Physics of Fluids from the University of Paris 6, obtained in 2002. After post-doctoral work at DAMTP in Cambridge (UK) she joined Aix Marseille University in 2004. Since then, she has been studying the rheology of granular and particulate flows, using laboratory experiments and continuum modelling with the goal to identify the primary ingredients necessary to describe these systems. She has co-authored more than 28 publications in major international peer reviewed journals (J. of Fluid Mech., Phys. Rev. Fluids, Phys. Rev. E, Phys. Rev. Letters, PNAS…).
